    Dear 2009

    Dear 2009,

    You were a horrible year. I’m so glad today is your last day, and it could not have come fast enough. This year you really challenged me, my family and my close friends. You have made us experience heart-break, divorce, unemployment, failure, injury, illness and death. No other year has been so very jammed pack of misery and negativity.

    Of course there were the good times, I was able to enjoy myself for a little bit. But overall my spirit was a bit broken. I know it could have been a lot worse. I do have perspective and count my many blessings. But, you, 2009 sure toughened me up. And what kind of summer was that? Rain almost the whole season? C’mon!

    Well, this is it, goodbye. I never want to see the likes of you again.
